LUKSO is often referred to as the blockchain for the new creative economy. It is a layer-one Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based blockchain, meaning it shares many similarities with Ethereum. What makes LUKSO unique is that it allows us to give brands, garments, and users their own profiles on the blockchain.

Why integrate blockchain into Circulaid

Integrating blockchain within Circulaid enhances functionality and makes the deposit system future-proof.

• Functionality → Brands can create product passports directly on the blockchain and automate the refunding of deposits through a smart contract.

• Future-proofing → Product passports will remain accessible on the blockchain even in the event of a bankruptcy of either a brand or Candour.Digital, ensuring that deposit refunds can still occur far into the future.
